For this project you’ll need: a drill, hacksaw, screw driver and tape measure.

  1. Measure the width of your door with a tape measure. If your door is less than 36 inches wide, cut the door shoe to size with a hack saw.
  2. Then, slide the door shoe under the door, with the rain drip facing outside. If needed, remove the door and trim the bottom a 1/2 inch above the threshold.
  3. Next, drill 1/8 inch holes in the door at the bottom of the screw slots. Screw the door shoe in place with the screws provided.
  4. Finally, check to make sure there are no gaps between the door shoes and door threshold.
